A Look Back at thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics Through the Years
The history of thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics begins in 1970 in New York state where it was owned and operated as AIN Plastics by Norman Drucker and Alex Gabay. In 1983 AIN Plastics became E.I. DuPont's first national distributor of Vespel® PolyImide stock shapes and we continue as one of two in the United State to this day. This partnership lead to expansion and in 1996, AIN Plastics joined the ThyssenKrupp Materials NA group (then Thyssen Inc., NA), a move which positioned the company for continued success and growth. In 2016, as part of a rebranding effort, AIN Plastics took on the name thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics signifying its connection to an organization with global reach and recognition.
