Kynar® PVDF

thyssenkrupp Engineered Plastics / Online Plastics® offers the brand name Kynar® for your PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) sheet or rod needs.

Kynar® PVDF is a high molecular weight thermoplastics polymer. It is a non-reactive and very pure fluoropolymer. It possesses outstanding chemical inertness and excellent corrosion resistance. PVDF is highly resistant to oxidizing agents and halogens. It also shows nearly complete resistance to aliphatic, aromatics, alcohols, acids and chlorinated solvents, and resistance to most acids and bases with the exception of fuming sulfuric.

Features:

  • Homopolymer and Copolymer Grades available

  • UV stable

  • Good mechanical strength

  • High dielectric strength

  • Self-extinguishing

  • Non-toxic

  • Excellent in extreme weather conditions

  • Goof thermal stability in low temperatures

  • Extremely high purity

  • High tensile strength

  • Excellent chemical resistance

  • Good thermal stability

Kynar® PVDF applications include those that require high purity and strength as well as corrosion resistance and resistance to solvents, acids or bases and heat. Kynar® PVDF is most commonly used in semiconductor, chemical processing, medical and defense industries. It is also being used in the lithium ion battery industry.

Kynar® PVDF pipe is a popular replacement for metal in extreme conditions. Compared to metal Kynar® PVDF is lighter in weight, easy to install, has excellent weather resistance and long service life.
